Client’s Main Requirements
The main requirement was to create a tall roadside sign. It needed to clearly show the BF Petroleum brand before drivers reached the station entrance.
The pylon needed to combine several functions within a relatively simple structure:
- Display the BF Petroleum logo prominently
- Show fuel types and current prices clearly
- Maintain good visibility from the approaching road
- Match the blue, orange, and white brand identity
- Provide a strong but visually clean freestanding structure
- Allow the fuel price display to be updated when prices change
Because the sign would be viewed mainly by moving vehicles, the information hierarchy was especially important. The brand needed recognition first, and the fuel type and price needed recognition soon after.
Signage Design Challenges
One of the main challenges was balancing height, visibility, branding, and information density.
A roadside pylon sign cannot simply make every element large. The logo, company name, fuel labels, and digital price displays all compete for limited sign-face space.
The design therefore used a clear vertical information structure.
They placed the BF Petroleum logo and brand name at the top of the sign for maximum recognition. The fuel price area sat just below, making key customer information easy to find at a glance.
The approved elevation drawings also considered the overall proportions and installation height of the structure. At about 6.63 meters tall, the finished pylon stands out by the roadside.
It has a strong presence without making the main display panel look too large.
Our Custom Pylon Sign Solution
The completed gas station pylon sign uses a clean white vertical structure as its main architectural form.
At the top, the circular BF Petroleum logo creates a strong visual focal point. The orange and blue brand colors stand out against the white background. The BF PETROLEUM lettering adds more brand identification.
Below the branding section, a blue fuel price panel contains the product names and bright red LED price digits.

The red LED digits were built into the blue branded panel, not added as separate modules. This gives the finished pylon a more complete and professional appearance.
